Polish man Woychiech Kasprzak pleaded guilty to orally raping a woman and assaulting her causing harm after attacking her in Castlebar in July 2007. The Central Criminal Court imposed eight years for rape and a concurrent five years for assault.
The attack and prosecution
Court reporting says Kasprzak attacked the woman from behind in a church car park at about 4.30am, dragged her down and forced her to perform oral sex. CCTV showed their first contact. He admitted rape and assault causing harm.
